The Director of Field Marketing, Asia Pacific / Middle East will lead and scale Shield AI’s largest regional field marketing organization, spanning the Middle East, India, and Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore and reporting to the VP, Global Field Marketing Units, this leader will develop the strategy, team, programs, and operating discipline required to support Shield AI’s growth across a diverse and rapidly evolving set of aerospace and defense markets.

This role will partner closely with Sales, Business Development, Capture, Growth, Product Marketing, and executive leadership to translate regional business priorities into high-impact field marketing programs that strengthen strategic relationships, accelerate opportunities, support capture efforts, and generate measurable pipeline impact.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of international defense and aerospace markets and is comfortable navigating complex government, military, acquisition, and industry stakeholder environments. This is a player-coach role for a strategic leader who can build and lead a high-performing regional team while remaining hands-on in the development and execution of critical programs.

The role requires significant international travel, approximately 25-50% of the time, across the Middle East, India, and Asia Pacific.

What You'll Do

• Lead and scale Field Marketing across the Middle East, India, and Asia Pacific, establishing a unified regional strategy aligned with Shield AI’s global Go-to-Market priorities.
• Lead the company’s largest regional field marketing team, developing organizational structure, talent, processes, and operating rhythms that enable the team to scale effectively across multiple markets.
• Build and institutionalize field marketing as a disciplined, revenue-aligned function within a fast-growing aerospace and defense organization.
• Develop and execute account-based marketing strategies for priority government, military, defense, aerospace, and strategic industry accounts, mapping stakeholders and orchestrating multi-touch engagement across events, executive briefings, targeted campaigns, and other high-value experiences.
• Develop a deep understanding of the defense and aerospace ecosystems across the Middle East, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia, and other priority APAC markets, including key military, government, acquisition, industry, and technology stakeholders.
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Capture teams to identify strategic accounts and opportunities and develop marketing programs that support relationship development, pipeline creation, opportunity progression, and capture objectives.
• Own strategy and execution for major aerospace and defense events across the region, prioritizing strategic account engagement, executive meetings, customer relationships, and opportunity acceleration over brand presence alone.
• Create and execute high-impact ABM programs, executive engagements, customer experiences, roundtables, and regional campaigns designed to generate new pipeline and accelerate existing opportunities.
• Develop regional marketing strategies that account for differences in defense procurement processes, government structures, military organizations, acquisition timelines, budgets, and business cultures across individual markets.
• Build strong relationships with regional Sales, Business Development, Capture, and Growth leaders to ensure field marketing investments are directly connected to business priorities and revenue opportunities.
• Establish KPIs that reflect international defense sales realities, including strategic account penetration, stakeholder engagement depth, executive engagement, opportunity creation, pipeline contribution, and deal acceleration.
• Lead regional agencies, vendors, event partners, and other external resources, ensuring high-quality execution and disciplined management of marketing investments.
• Bring creativity, structure, cultural awareness, and adaptability to a rapidly evolving environment where new markets, capabilities, and customer opportunities are developing in real time.
• Represent Shield AI and Field Marketing with senior internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating the credibility, judgment, and executive presence required to operate in complex aerospace and defense environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in field marketing, demand generation, integrated marketing, or related marketing leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience marketing into international government, military, aerospace, defense, or other highly complex B2G environments.
• Strong understanding of aerospace and defense markets across the Middle East and/or Asia Pacific, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple countries and cultures.
• Experience working with defense ministries, military services, government agencies, acquisition organizations, defense primes, or other strategic aerospace and defense stakeholders.
• Proven experience building and executing account-based marketing strategies within complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies that support long-cycle sales, government procurement, defense acquisition, capture, and strategic account development.
• Experience leading and scaling regional teams across multiple countries or geographies.
• Strong executive presence and credibility engaging senior military, government, defense industry, and business leaders.
• Experience operating as a hands-on builder and operator in a high-growth or rapidly evolving organization.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills with Sales, Business Development, Capture, Growth, Product Marketing, and executive leadership.
• Ability to travel internationally 25-50% of the time.
