Why this matters
A company posting at twice its usual rate has closed a round, landed a customer, or started a new product line. It shows up on the careers page weeks before the announcement. Recruiters use this list to call before the seats fill; vendors use it as a buying signal; investors use it as a growth check that is not self-reported.
How it is computed
Every 6 hours the index reads the public job-board feeds of 286 AI companies (Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby), records each posting's first and last seen dates, and recomputes the week. Velocity compares the last 7 days with the company's own prior 4-week weekly average, so a small company posting 6 roles can rank above a large one posting 40. Leadership seats are matched on title (Head of, Director, VP, Chief, C-level) with individual-contributor titles such as Account Director excluded, and one seat posted in several cities counts once. Nothing is scraped from LinkedIn or self-reported.
