About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Product Engineer who will build and ship new products powered by frontier spatial models. You'll work at the edge of what our models can do, taking ideas from early prototypes to reliable products and APIs that people use, often in weeks rather than months.

This role sits at the intersection of product, research and engineering. You'll often be one of the first engineers on a new product idea. You'll own its technical direction and how the model behaves in the product, and you'll build the evals that show whether users get results they can use.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys ambiguity, works comfortably across the stack, and wants to get new capabilities in front of real users quickly.

What You Will Do

• Explore emerging model capabilities with researchers and identify valuable product workflows before a complete specification exists.
• Own model behavior in the product, including prompting, conditioning, parameter choices, orchestration, and failure-mode diagnosis.
• Build product evals that measure whether users receive usable results.
• Ship across the necessary layers: backend or orchestration, public API/SDK and user-facing product.
• Work directly with users and own the quality and reliability of what you ship after launch.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated ownership across full stack development.
• You have shipped a production API or application on top of generative models and owned end-to-end output quality, not only the surrounding plumbing.
• You have a meaningful backend or systems depth and can work through the user-facing surface.
• You have built or used evaluations for nondeterministic systems and know where those evaluations can mislead you.
• You have worked closely with researchers and can turn product evidence into a precise capability request.
• You act without waiting for fully specified tickets, while aligning clearly on the product bet and constraints.

Bonus points for:

• 3D, graphics or vision experience
• Public API or SDK experience
• Fine-tuning, LoRA or adapter experience
• Founding or early-engineer experience

Location: This role is based in San Francisco, California; we work in-person in the office 5 days a week.
